Ballerino 🩰

I had only seen ballet in cartoons. So I fell in love with it. My favorite cartoon was Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses. But I didn’t think there were places in Sri Lanka where I could learn ballet.

By chance, I met a ballet dancer. It was on TikTok. Her name was Nikini Fonseka. She was like my own sister. She had seen me before on social media. She asked me to dance as her partner in one of her Ballet Act. I happily agreed, and we did a great act. 




That performance gave me an opportunity. It is I got the opportunity to join with the Russian School of Ballet and Dancing - Colombo 07.Im the one and only male ballet dancer in our school. Russian Center teach the Russian Classical Ballet.








Currently, I learn in Grade 02 in our ballet school. I'm complete the Grade 01 Examination with Distinction Pass.(Our certificates issued by Moscow State Academy Choreography)


I love the vibe of the Russian Cultural Center. It's an amazing place. Little ballerinas everywhere. I feel like I'm studying in leaving Sri Lanka.



The Russian Ballet School is affiliated with the Russian Embassy, ​​So We get the opportunity to go to joint embassy events and Our embassy events. So we get a chance to dance ballet as well as other Russian Folk Dances.

My name is Bathila Dulnada Dissanayake. I am 21 years old. My home is Mirigama. My school is Royal College Colombo 07 and my university is University of Visual and Performing Arts Colombo 07.
